African-American parade and festival set for Aug. 14 in Lansing
The 11th annual African-American Parade and Festival is coming up on Aug. 14 in downtown Lansing.
The parade kicks off at 11 a.m., followed by the heritage festival to be held at Ferris Park. The celebration will salute the diversity in mid-Michigan.This year's parade grand marshals are Helena DuBose, founder of radio station 96.5 WQHH FM urban contemporary radio and Larry Harp, founder of 100.3 FM/1580AM gospel radio.
